Meet Our Team

Meet Kevin

For nearly two decades Kevin worked as a superintendent in site construction in the natural gas and oil industry. While he was there, he oversaw the construction of well pads, roads, ponds, drainage features and slip remediation.  He now works full time at Scaped Outdoors and leads all of our hardscape installs and excavation work.

Kevin first got into hardscape as a hobby when he began projects around our own home. After he installed our entire driveway all by himself, he was hooked on the art of hardscape. Soon after, he enrolled in a training program to become a certified concrete paver installer thru the Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute. From there, he began dreaming up other projects he was going to complete around our home and paving the way to start his own business.

Kevin has an eye for detail and is incredibly precise. If what he is working on is not perfect, he won’t stop until it is. If you want anyone doing this kind of work for you around your own home, he is the guy for the job. You will be amazed at his precision and hard pressed to find anyone better at excavation and hardscaping than him.

He looks forward to sharing his gift of precision with you and bringing your outdoor dreams to life.

Meet Sarah

Sarah’s background is in education and business. She got her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009 where she studied business computer and information technology education. Her certification is K-12 in Pennsylvania. She spent the first six years of her career teaching business at State College Area High School. While we lived in State College, she worked on her Master’s degree from Penn State where she studied Educational Leadership.

She has spent the last five years working full time in network marketing and sales. She primarily works on the business side of Scaped Outdoors. Occasionally you will see her out on your job site working with the crew though. You will work with Sarah when  scheduling your project meetings as well your contracts and accounting. She will also be in touch to follow up with you regarding your service experience. Sarah may request to share your story on our social media platforms at the conclusion of your project.

Meet Steve

Steve is the head of the hardscape labor team.  He works alongside Kevin on many of our larger jobs. Steve has also been taught according to all ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) standards for hardscape installation by Kevin.

He has many years of experience working in forestry. He and his family own and operate their own Christmas tree farm in Indiana County. When Steve is not laying pavers or working at the tree farm, he enjoys studying and investing in the stock market. He also loves to talk “tech.”  You may find him taking photos of your job with his drone once it is finished. He will be happy to share these images with you if you would like an aerial view of your project.

Steve is also a dog guy so feel free to introduce him to your furry family members while he is there working.

He is very friendly and is looking forward to helping bring your projects to life.a
