While we might need a new shop vac after this one- it was actually pretty helpful getting out the old sand before we added in the new stuff.

Aside from the fact that I’ve burned thru a mill

Aside from the fact that I’ve burned thru a million pairs of his new gloves on this project, stole all his good rain clothes, left some of the super hard parts of the project to him and most likely shortened the future life of his shop vac since I sucked up sand with it for hours upon end. 😂 I’d like to think he’s enjoyed the quality time we spent together on this one.

At least I have. ❤️

Earlier this morning I needed to do some work over

Earlier this morning I needed to do some work over at our church preparing tulle that will hang from the ceiling for the upcoming Easter celebration.

I pulled Kevin away from the bids he was working on because I know how meticulous he is when it comes to measuring things. I knew he was the man for the job so he agreed to come along to help too.

We both agreed the tulle was much easier to cut and work with than his landscape fabric he normally is working with.

He’s back home and at his computer for the rest of the day now. If you saw him this week for a quote hang tight- he will have it to you soon.

Thanks to all who had us to your home this week for quotes. You can tell it’s absolutely the start of busy season.

Enjoying one of the true perks of entrepreneurship

Enjoying one of the true perks of entrepreneurship today.

Lunch on a random Thursday afternoon with your wife simply because you can.

A few years in and we have come to learn that success isn’t just measured by the bottom line and how many projects you can take on.

Success is also having the TIME to be able to enjoy the life you worked so hard to build. We are currently enjoying the little spring break we built in for ourselves.

Don’t get so busy climbing the mountain that you forget to stop and enjoy the view with those you have along for the climb.

In honor of international women’s day yesterday, I pulled this clip from the archives to give you a good laugh. This is from the time Kevin let me try to run the excavator at our house.

As you can see, excavation isn’t a strong skill set for me or honestly most people who have never tried to run one. Hence why some projects you don’t DIY without hiring. He makes it look way easier than it actually is.

One of the biggest reasons Scaped has worked out for us for so well is because as a couple we both know our “magic” and we stick to the skills we do best.

He won’t ever be the one doing business tasks because my degree is in business and let’s be honest, the likelihood of me coming to do your excavation is very low. 😂😂 For your sake and mine, let’s hope you continue to only work with me on the business side of Scaped Outdoors.

Here’s to all the women who know their magic and stick with doing it and doing it well.
